Talisman just 30 miles from the finish. It has been a tough afternoon for the remaining three yachts in the Sevenstar Round Britain & Ireland Race as they head for home battling against the strong tides along the South Coast of Britain with thoughts turning to warm, dry beds and perhaps a beer or two! This evening Simon Harwood's Prima 38, Talisman, was an agonising 30 miles from the finish line off the Royal Yacht Squadron and is hoping for favourable conditions to get home before last orders this evening whilst for Penny Pariso's, Predator of Wight and Kieran Jameson's Changeling they will be looking at another night at sea at the very least with over 100 miles left to go.

Andrew Pearce's IMX40, Magnum II, completed the Sevenstar Round Britain & Ireland Race just before midday on Sunday to become the tenth finisher on the water, seventh overall on corrected time and the current leader of the competitive IRC Divison C.

At a little after 0500 hrs this morning, a shattered crew onboard Global Yacht Racing Incisor brought home their Corby 45 to a very respectable finishing place of ninth on the water. Andy Middleton's team have battled through some horrendous conditions in the Sevenstar Round Britain & Ireland Race as well as some frustratingly light breezes on the final stretch so there was a palpable sense of relief onboard having completed this coastal classic race.

After twelve days at sea, Anthony Richards brought his 200- built Ker 11.3, Minnie the Moocher, across the line at the Royal Yacht Squadron to receive their hooter and complete the Sevenstar Round Britain & Ireland Race. Finishing at 1817 hrs the tired crew headed back to their home port of Hamble after receiving their congratulatory champagne where they will no doubt reflect on a terrific race around Britain and Ireland with Minnie the Moocher finishing 8th on the water.

Just before 1900 hrs last night (Friday) Volker Linzer brought his Andrews 56, Norddeutsche Vermogen, across the finish line at the Royal Yacht Squadron to complete the Sevenstar Round Britain & Ireland Race in seventh place on the water. After experiencing just about every wind strength and sea state imaginable, the delighted crew of Norddeutsche Vermogen stepped ashore in Cowes to a champagne reception safe in the knowledge of a 'job well done.'

Artemis Ocean Racing of Jonny Malbon has rounded Muckle Flugga on the northern tip of the Shetland Isles and is currently enjoying fantastic surfing conditions on the way back down the east coast of Scotland with just 640 miles left to the finish. It's a fair reward for a solid five days of beating and the Open 60 is now revelling in the conditions, hitting top speeds in excess of 16 knots and stretching her lead over second place Solune of J-P Chomette to some 122 miles.
